I thought I would try something new this year. All year long I rate golf equipment, gadgets, and goodies. So this year I thought I would put togethers some great gift ideas for those of you with a golfer in your life. This article is for folks like my wife, who never knows what golf things to buy and feels a bit overwhelmed by the amount of stuff out there.
I will put things into a few categories to help sort it all out. First, let’s talk about stalking stuffers, things under $50 that every golfer might want in their bag.
Frogger golf club cleaning brush. Love this tool. It has a retractable chord so it stays attached to your golf bag, and it has interchangable brushes, so you don’t have to replace the entire tool when the brush gets worn. I have used this tool for the last 6 seasons, and still love it.
Epoch S3 tees. These are my favorite reusable golf tees. They hold up round after round and I really love the small 1 1/2″ tees for par threes. At under $10 this is a great stocking stuffer.
Caddyshack tribute towel. A new golf towel is always a good gift and what could be better than a towel that is a tribute to the greatest golf movie of all time, Caddyshack!
Divot tool with the logo of their almamatter! This is a great gift, and something that every golfer uses on every round. At under $20, this makes a great stocking stuffer.
GPS or laser rangefinders. These are great gifts, you might have to hint around to see which one of the devices your golfer might prefer, but knowing how far your next shot is, makes the game way more enjoyable. I love mine, but this category can be a bit pricy.
Hopefully these tips can help you with your gift giving this Christmas season. I did not add any golf balls or golf clubs because those are a lot harder to give as gifts, since most golfer have pretty strong opinions about balls and clubs.
One more gift you might consider is a golf shirt, those are always good, and for winter time, a “wind shirt” is a great gift as well.
I hope you have great golf themed holiday, playing through!
